NONNETTE v. SMALL, 00-55702

Because any direct challenge to a disciplinary proceeding would be moot due to a former state prisoner's having served the incarceration portion of a sentence and been released on parole, he may maintain a 42 U.S.C. section 1983 action arising from that proceeding.
