United States Ninth Circuit

LEONARD v. ST. ROSE DOMINICAN HOSP., 01-15544

Because the anti-discrimination provision of the Bankruptcy Code, 11 U.S.C. section 525(b), does not protect persons who have not yet filed for bankruptcy, a doctor who was fired before filing for bankruptcy could not seek protection from the termination under that statute.
