US v. AGUILAR, 00-50502

Admission of an unavailable co-defendant's guilty plea does not violate an accused's rights under the Confrontation Clause when that plea is made under oath with representation by counsel, is accepted under Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, includes wholly self-inculpatory remarks, and subjects the declarant to a risk of substantial imprisonment.
