ARRINGTON v. WONG, 98-17135

The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act of 1986, 42 USC 1395dd, applies when the patient is on his way to the hospital in a non-hospital-owned ambulance, and does not require the patient to be on hospital premises.
