US v. MUNOZ, 99-50195

For the purposes of calculating loss for mail fraud under USSG 2F1.1, a court need not offset the intended loss by payments made to investors as an alleged investment return, and by the actual value of the investment after the illicit company reorganized in bankruptcy and began doing business as a legitimate enterprise.
