Defendant's sentence for being a felon in possession of a firearm is affirmed where: 1) the district court thus did not err in finding that defendant possessed a firearm in connection with another felony offense – his check-cashing operation – and a four level-enhancement under U.S.S.G. section 2K2.1(b)(6) was appropriate on that basis; and 2) the court provided the necessary "insight into [its] reasons" for deciding to vary 13 months above the suggested guidelines range.
