United States Eighth Circuit

US v. Wilson, 08-3514

Sentence for being a felon in possession of a firearm is affirmed where the district court did not err in concluding that defendant's prior felony convictions qualified him for a sentencing enhancement under the Armed Career Criminal Act, as defendant's conviction for child abuse under Missouri Revised Stature 568.060 qualified as a violent felony under 18 U.S.C. sec. 924(e)(2)(B) because it ordinarily poses a serious potential risk of physical injury and typically involves purposeful, violent and aggressive conduct.
