United States Eighth Circuit
US v. Martinez-Cortes, 08-1706
Conviction for drug crimes is affirmed where the district court properly denied defendant's motion to suppress as police officers arriving to execute a warrant to search a residence had a valid reason to stop and at least briefly detain a vehicle and its occupants as they departed the residence, as the vehicle had previously been seen at the residence, the vehicle might have contained the resident they were seeking, and out of concerns for officer safety.
