United States Eighth Circuit
Satcher v. Univ. of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Bd. of Tr., 08-1990
In an action involving the dismissal of a university professor, district court's grant of defendant's motion for summary judgment is affirmed where: 1) plaintiff failed to establish district court's conclusion about defendant's sovereign immunity was incorrect; 2) plaintiff's retaliation claim failed on the merits as there was a legitimate, non-discriminatory reason for terminating his employment; and 3) due process claims failed as plaintiff did not avail himself of the procedures plaintiff had in place to challenge the termination.
