United States Eighth Circuit

Crooks v. Lynch, 08-2618

In an action involving the employment termination of a county sheriff, plaintiff's claim that the adverse employment action violated his property interest in employment is dismissed without prejudice where the plaintiff failed to exhaust his state remedies and thus the court lacked jurisdiction over the claim. Plaintiff's claim that the actions violated his liberty interests were properly dismissed as he failed to request a name-clearing hearing before filing suit.
