United States Eighth Circuit

US v. Beck, 08-2224

Conviction for being a felon in possession of a firearm is affirmed where: 1) district court did not abuse its discretion in limiting cross-examination for impeachment purposes; 2) there was no abuse of discretion in introduction of evidence obtained two days before trial because evidence did not substantially prejudice the defendant and likely had little impact on the trial; and 3) there was no error in grant of motion to preclude the argument that police did not conduct a thorough investigation.
