Hylla v. Transp. Communications Int'l Union, 07-3573
The protection offered to elected union officers in Section 101(a)(2) of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA) is limited to speech which relates to the general interests of the union membership at large, and does not protect speech that is of an entirely personal interest.
