United States Eighth Circuit
Hassen v. Mukasey, 07-2837
Petition for review of an order refusing to readjust petitioner's status to permanent resident based on her marriage to a citizen, as well as denying her asylum and related relief, is denied where: 1) substantial evidence supported an IJ's decision finding that petitioner and her husband were not entirely credible and that the marriage was entered into for for the purpose of obtaining admission to the U.S.; and 2) denial of asylum was neither manifestly contrary to law nor an abuse of discretion.
