United States Eighth Circuit
US v. Gustafson, 07-3184, 07-3359
Conviction on charges of income tax evasion is affirmed where the district court: 1) did not err in excluding some of defendants' documentary evidence to the extent it was cumulative; 2) offered jury instructions on what the law actually holds; and 3) gave comments during trial which were, for the most part, comments and questions simply related to the orderly administration of court proceedings and aimed at drawing out facts necessary for a clear presentation of the issues.
