United States Eighth Circuit

US v. Betts, 07-1068

A sentence for being a felon in possession of a firearm is affirmed over claims that: 1) the district court erred in applying an enhancement based upon defendant's use of a firearm in connection with another felony offense; 2) it erred in declining to depart downward based upon defendant's over-represented criminal history; and 3) the sentence was not reasonable under 18 U.S.C. section 3553(a).
