United States Eighth Circuit

US v. Esquivel, 06-3679, 06-3681

Convictions for possession of heroin with intent distribute are affirmed over claims of erroneous denial of defendants' motions to suppress evidence where, even assuming that a traffic stop was excessive in length and scope, the district court did not err in finding that the consent to search given by defendants purged the taint of any portion of the stop which may have been illegal.
