United States Eighth Circuit

US v. Ingram, 06-3915

Defendant's conviction and sentence for unlawful possession of a firearm as a previously convicted felon is affirmed where: 1) the evidence was sufficient to establish that he knowingly possessed the firearm at issue; 2) there was no abuse of discretion in a refusal to allow him to introduce videotaped interviews to impeach certain witnesses for the prosecution; 3) his prior conviction for a walkaway escape from a community work center qualified as a "violent felony" under the Armed Career Criminal Act (ACCA); and 4) a finding that he possessed the firearm in connection with another felony offense was amply supported.
