Humann v. KEM Elec. Coop., Inc., 06-3408

In an action in against plaintiff's former employer, boss, and the company's lawyer asserting claims arising out of her firing and a claim for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), summary judgment for defendants is affirmed over claims that the district court erred: 1) in rejecting a claim of equitable estoppel based on a statement in the employer's policy bulletin; 2) in holding a letter from employer's attorney to plaintiff's was privileged; 3) in determining plaintiff was exempt from the FLSA; and 4) in taxing costs in accordance with federal law, instead of in accord with state law.
