United States Eighth Circuit

Ganley v. Minneapolis Park & Recreation Bd., 06-3673

In a suit brought by former officers of the Minneapolis Police Department who retired to become officers with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, alleging constitutional violations when the Board denied them higher initial placement on the salary schedule and more vacation time when they started their employment, a judgment for defendant-Board is affirmed as: 1) plaintiffs were not similarly situated to those with whom they compared themselves; 2) the Park Board's actions were reasonable; and 3) the Park Board did not deny plaintiffs any process.
