United States Eighth Circuit
US v. Meyer, 06-2961
In the context of drug testing and probation, sweat patch results are a generally reliable method of determining whether an offender has violated a condition of his or her probation. However, there may be certain instances where offenders offer compelling reasons to believe that positive test results from sweat patches are erroneous, and district courts should make such determinations on a case-by-case basis.
