United States Eighth Circuit
Sanders v. City of Minneapolis, 06-1356
Dismissal of wife's civil lawsuit related to the shooting death of her husband by Minneapolis police officers, and a sanction entered against her attorney, are affirmed where: 1) despite the fact that decedent may have been experiencing a bipolar episode, he posed a deadly threat against the police officers and their actions in shooting him were objectively reasonable for purposes of section 1983 and Monell claims; 2) decedent's rights under the ADA were not violated; and 3) the sanctions order was not an abuse of discretion.
