United States Eighth Circuit

US v. Johnson, 06-2387

A conviction for drug- and firearm-related offenses is affirmed where: 1) the evidence was sufficient to support conviction for possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug crime; 2) there was no error in a denial of a minor-role reduction at sentencing as the evidence supported the district court's finding that defendant was deeply involved in a drug conspiracy; 3) there was no error in denial of a reduction for acceptance of responsibility; and 4) the court's denial of a variance and the resulting 295-month sentence were not unreasonable.
