United States Eighth Circuit

US v. Jansen, 06-2244

A conviction for being a felon in possession of a pipe bomb and possessing an unregistered firearm is affirmed where: 1) the district court did not abuse its discretion in denying a Franks hearing and there was no error in its failure to suppress certain seized evidence; and 2) the jury could have reasonably inferred that defendant had constructive possession of the pipe bombs and bomb components and therefore sufficient evidence supported the verdict.
