Sofonia v. Principal Life Ins. Group, 05-3734
Denial of a motion to remand and dismissal of claims for fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and unjust enrichment against defendants in connection with the demutualization of Principal Life Insurance Company are affirmed where the action was subject to removal and dismissal under the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act (SLUSA), and the McCarran-Ferguson Act did not preclude application of SLUSA.
