United States Eighth Circuit

US v. Rusan, 05-4446

Convictions for bank robbery and bank larceny are affirmed over claims that the district court erred in denying defendant's Batson challenge to the government's use of peremptory strikes during jury selection, and that there was insufficient evidence to establish that the bank involved was insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
