US v. $124,000, 05-3295

In civil forfeiture proceedings against funds, brought by the government alleging that the money was subject to forfeiture as the proceeds of a drug transaction or as property used in relation to drugs, a judgment in favor of claimants opposing the forfeiture is reversed and remanded where the government proved by a preponderance of the evidence that the defendant currency was substantially connected to a narcotics offense.
