United States Eighth Circuit
United Food & Commercial Workers' Union v. St. John's Mercy Health Sys., 05-4316
Summary judgment confirming an arbitration award in favor of a union requiring defendant-medical center to discharge nurses and pay the union overdue fees and dues the nurses had failed to remit is affirmed where the state laws raised by defendant did not provide public policy grounds on which to reverse the arbitrator's decision, and the arbitrator did not exceed his authority in awarding monetary relief.
