United States Eighth Circuit

Vaughn v. Greene County, 04-3916, 04-4068

Denial of summary judgment for defendant, sheriff, in a civil rights case arising from the in-custody death of plaintiff's brother is reversed where defendant was entitled to qualified immunity since plaintiff failed to demonstrate defendant actually knew of any serious medical needs of the decedent, deliberately disregarded such needs, or failed to supervise or train his employees properly.
