United States Eighth Circuit
US v. SALTER, 03-3084
While some of the information in the warrant application was improperly obtained through questioning conducted in violation of Miranda, the officers who obtained the warrant had, during a stand-off with defendant and his father, developed personal knowledge of the likely presence of the items and this was sufficient to establish probable cause for the warrant's issuance.
