LLOYD v. AM. AIRLINES, 01-1047

In an action for damages under the Warsaw Convention after an airline crash, emotional damages are recoverable to the extent they are caused by physical injuries suffered, but physical manifestations of mental injuries are not compensable; evidence of injuries was insufficient to sustain a $6.5 million verdict, and plaintiff is offered remittitur of $1.5 million.
