United States Eighth Circuit

IN RE: JOHN RICHARD KEMP, JR., 00-1306

Debt for child support, necessities and birth expenses is not dischargeable in bankruptcy proceeding, even though mother of debtor's child was not his spouse, because the nature of the debt (rather than the identity of the payee) determines dischargeability.
