United States Seventh Circuit
US v. Yancey, 18-2935
Affirmed. Police were conducting a lawful stop when they recognized the passenger of the car as someone potentially armed. He alleged his Fourth Amendment rights were violated when they stopped him from running away, but Supreme Court precedent permits police to detain passengers if they have a lawful reason to seize the driver.
