United States Seventh Circuit
Construction and General Laborers' Union v. Town of Grand Chute, 18-1739
Held that a town's sign ordinance could constitutionally ban a labor union from using a giant inflatable balloon in the shape of a rat when picketing an employer. The union had been forced to deflate the 12-foot-high balloon because of the sign ordinance. Affirmed a summary judgment ruling against the union, which had filed this free speech challenge.
