United States Seventh Circuit

US v. Sanders, 18-2165

Affirmed a ten-year mandatory minimum sentence imposed on a defendant who pleaded guilty to a federal drug offense. She argued unsuccessfully that her prior state drug conviction should not have been used to enhance her sentence because the offense was eventually reclassified as a misdemeanor pursuant to California's Proposition 47.
