United States Seventh Circuit

Fritz v. Evers, 17-2955

Held that the state of Wisconsin did not deny a teacher due process when it listed him on a public website as being under investigation for suspected immoral conduct before clearing him of any misconduct. The teacher argued that he should have been given a hearing before his name was put on the list, which made it difficult for him to find a new job. Rejecting his argument, the Seventh Circuit affirmed the dismissal of his civil rights suit.
