United States Seventh Circuit

Daugherty v. Harrington, 17-3224

Reinstated a state prisoner's claim that a correctional lieutenant violated his First Amendment rights by retaliating against him for complaining about the conditions of confinement; but otherwise affirmed summary judgment against the prisoners' First and Eighth Amendment claims. (The correctional lieutenant, in fact, conceded on appeal that he was not entitled to summary judgment.)
