United States Seventh Circuit
US v. Cartwright, 10-1879
In a conviction of defendant for being a felon in possession of a firearm, district court's denial of a motion to suppress a gun found in the backseat of defendant's automobile during a traffic stop is affirmed as the district court properly found, based on the evidence and the police department's policy, that an inventory search would have been conducted and that the gun would have been found pursuant to such a search, and the evidence on the record supports this conclusion.
