United States Seventh Circuit

Conviction and sentence for drug crimes is affirmed where: 1) the district court properly dismissed defendant's motion to suppress evidence as the traffic stop leading to the search was constitutionally reasonable; 2) court's dismissal without prejudice of defendant's original indictment under the Speedy Trial Act was appropriate under the circumstances; and 3) the delay between defendant's second indictment and trial was not a violation of his Sixth Amendment right to a speedy trial, and any Sixth Amendment claim regarding the delay associated with his first indictment should have been brought then.
