United States Seventh Circuit

Conviction for drug crimes is affirmed where: 1) district court did not abuse its discretion in reopening the suppression hearing and considering expert handwriting testimony; 2) court did not err by failing to conduct a Daubert analysis prior to considering the handwriting testimony, as it is not required to do so in a pre-trial suppression hearing; and 3) the court did not err in excluding defendant's proffered evidence.
