United States Seventh Circuit
Heimann v. City of Chicago, 08-1555
In an action involving police officers' compensatory time, district court's grant of an injunction against defendant is vacated and remanded where an injunction is not the appropriate remedy, as there is an adequate remedy at law. Plaintiffs are entitled to prevail as defendant's comp-time leave program is contrary to the Fair Labor Standards Act in its failure to ensure that officers gets to use leave within a reasonable time and get their choice of dates for leave.
