United States Seventh Circuit

Mekhtiev v. Holder, 08-3074

Board of Immigration Appeals order dismissing plaintiff's appeal of judgment denying asylum is affirmed where substantial evidence supports the Board's decision to deny asylum, as it did not appear plaintiff suffered past persecution or had a well founded fear of future persecution, and plaintiff did not show that any of the problems he faced in his home country were connected to a protected ground for asylum.
