United States Seventh Circuit

In a suit alleging that correctional officers exhibited deliberate indifference to plaintiff's serious medical need, dismissal of the complaint is affirmed in part where inaction by a non-medical staff member did not constitute deliberate indifference, but reversed in part where plaintiff was entitled to discovery concerning the knowledge of his complaints on the part of the head of the medical unit.
