EEOC v. Watkins Motor Lines, Inc., 08-2483
In an action by the EEOC to enforce a subpoena connected to an investigation of Defendant-Employer's discriminatory hiring practices, the dismissal of the suit is reversed and remanded. Although there was no EEOC charge pending against Defendant-Employer, Title VII and 28 U.S.C. section 1345 gave the District Court subject matter jurisdiction.
