United States Seventh Circuit

US v. Alldredge, 08-2076

District court erred in enhancing the sentence of a counterfeit currency-distributor under U.S.S.G. section 2B5.1(b)(5), even though the check-forging scheme in which she participated was international in scope, where: 1.) she was not charged with forging checks for a man overseas; 2.) she did not expect to be paid by him in phony bills; and 3.) she did not spend the money outside the US.
