United States Seventh Circuit

Rennert v. Great Dane Ltd. P'ship, 07-2989

In a suit alleging a strict products liability claim under state law for a fatal accident involving a trailer manufactured by defendant, dismissal for failure to state a claim is affirmed where, under established state law, a manufacturer has a duty to design a vehicle that is reasonably safe for the occupants, but it owes no duty to those who collide with that vehicle.
