Delarama v. Illinois Dept. of Human Servs., 07-1156
In an action against former employer alleging discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and common law defamation, summary judgment to defendant is affirmed where plaintiff: 1) did not suffer a materially adverse employment action; 2) failed to provide sufficient notice of her intent to take FMLA leave; and 3) failed to properly plead her defamation claims.
