United States Seventh Circuit

In a prosecution for being a felon in possession of a firearm, denial of a motion to suppress evidence is affirmed and sentence vacated where: 1) police had sufficient information that defendant was a felon carrying a gun to lead to a reasonable suspicion justifying their search; 2) a sentence enhancement for assaulting police officers during his arrest was properly applied; but 3) the district court's findings of fact were insufficient to determine whether an enhancement should apply for possession of a firearm in connection with another felony.
