In a suit alleging that state employees violated 42 U.S.C. section 1983 by refusing to hire plaintiff because of his affiliation with the Republican Party, summary judgment for defendants is affirmed where plaintiff produced no evidence that his political affiliation was a motivating factor in the employer's decision not to hire.
