Thomas v. Guardsmark, LLC, 05-3865
In a suit for retaliatory discharge by an employee who was fired for speaking to the media, award of back pay and damages to plaintiff and denial of defendant's motion for judgment as a matter of law are affirmed where the Illinois Whistleblower Protection Act cannot be applied retroactively to preempt plaintiff's complaint.
