United States Seventh Circuit
US v. Griffin, 07-2442
Conviction for possession of an unregistered firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon is affirmed where defendant did not show that, but for the district court's omissions during the plea colloquy, there was a reasonable probability that he would not have pled guilty. Sentence is vacated and remanded, however, where the district court plainly erred by announcing its intended sentence before allocution.
